The Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind (HSDB) welcomes parents, prospective students, alumni, friends, and out of town guests to visit the school. However, due to security and safety concerns, we request that visitors contact the school in advance to schedule their visit. Our main office number is (808) 733-4999 (Voice), (808) 447-1453 (Videophone).
Our school address is 3440 Leahi Avenue, but our main parking lot is located on Kanaina Avenue. Upon arrival, check in at the main office, located in administration building A, to receive visitor badges for everyone in your party. You will be asked to leave an ID so please bring one with you. Visitor badges must be visible and worn at all times and returned when the visit concludes.
Visitors who have business with the school and parents with appointments will be directed to wait at the reception area until a school representative escorts them to their destination.
Those visiting for a tour will be guided through campus. Please do not disrupt classroom instruction.
Photographing and videotaping of students is strictly prohibited.
If you would like to see more of what HSDB has to offer, please join us when we host evening and weekend special events such as ASL performances, fundraising events, and graduation. For a calendar of upcoming events, click here.
Mahalo for your interest in the Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind. We look forward to sharing our educational home with you. If you would like to extend your visit and volunteer with us, please see our volunteer guidelines.
