Dear Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind (HSDB) Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to provide key dates and our newly released school calendar for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. As we prepare to make the most of this year, we are deeply committed to delivering an enriching, inclusive, and accessible education experience for all our students.
Our dedicated teaching staff will return to campus on August 1, 2023. They will be immersed in workdays from August 1st through August 4th, preparing their classrooms, finalizing curriculum plans, and ensuring everything is for the arrival of our students.
In our continued efforts to support and enhance the skills of our educators, we will be hosting a Professional Development (PD) Day on August 7th and 8th. These two days are instrumental in providing our educators with ongoing learning, collaboration, and development opportunities.
The day we eagerly anticipate, the first day of school for students is August 9, 2023. We are beyond excited to welcome all our students back to HSDB, marking the start of a promising year of learning and achievement.
