When: Saturday, August 12 from 9:00-11:00am
What: 3Rs School Recycling Drives are coordinated by Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation as part of the 3Rs School Program and are made possible through a partnership with Schnitzer Steel Industries and support from local partners including T&N Computer Recycling, Pacific Biodiesel, Reynolds Recycling, Goodwill Hawaiʻi and Hawaiian Hope.
Why: 3Rs Drives provide schools and communities with the opportunity to recycle and reuse a variety of items, with host schools receiving proceeds from selected materials.
Selected Items Include: a variety of scrap metal; both old/broken and reusable/repairable electronics (no batteries); household goods in resellable condition (no toddler & baby items or furniture); used household cooking oil (2 gallons per vehicle only); HI-5 bottles & cans (pls. remove caps) and confidential documents for off-site shredding (2 boxes per vehicle only).
